About PSMFIS

A Gateway to Excellence in Physics

The Master of Physics Study Program (PSMFIS), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University, was officially established on September 30, 2013, based on the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture Decree No. 469/E/O/2013 regarding the permit for PSMFIS implementation. Currently, PSMFIS is accredited with a "Excellent" rating.

The Master's Program in Physics has formulated its mission as a process or series of steps that the program must undergo to achieve the previously stated vision. Our mission is to:

  • To provide high-quality higher education to produce physics masters who possess competencies and a socio-science entrepreneur mindset that is highly competitive;
  • To conduct research and community service in the field of physics and its applications based on excellence, innovation, competitiveness, and sustainability in socio-science entrepreneurs;
  • Strengthening and expanding institutional collaboration networks to develop and preserve the field of physics and its applications, and
  • Implementing integrated quality management in academic and non-academic fields through applying principles of transparency, productive participation, effectiveness, and efficiency and conducting higher education with accountable governance.
