Department of Physics FMIPA USK Holds Monthly Seminar Rangkang Fisika

Banda Aceh, 29 January 2026 – The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), will hold its Monthly Seminar, known as Rangkang Fisika, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 WIB, conducted online via Zoom Meeting.

This edition of the seminar will feature Irwandi, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Head of the STEM Research Center, Universitas Syiah Kuala, as the keynote speaker. He will deliver a talk entitled: “IMAGy: Development of a Digital Twin-Based Mechanics Learning Platform Integrated with IoT and AI to Support Deep Learning.” The seminar will discuss the development of an innovative mechanics learning platform that utilizes Digital Twin technology, integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to promote more interactive, adaptive, and in-depth physics learning experiences.

The Head of the Master Program in Physics, FMIPA USK, Prof. Dr.Eng. Elin Yusibani, S.Si., M.Eng., emphasized the importance of the Rangkang Fisika seminar as a strategic academic forum for students and faculty members. “Rangkang Fisika serves as an important platform for both lecturers and students to broaden their perspectives, engage in academic discussions, and keep pace with the latest developments in physics research and technology-enhanced learning. The integration of Digital Twin, IoT, and AI presented in this seminar is highly relevant to the current and future needs of physics education,” said Prof. Elin. She further expressed her hope that the seminar would encourage Master’s students in Physics to actively pursue interdisciplinary research and develop innovative learning models with tangible impact on education and society.

Rangkang Fisika is a regular academic agenda of the Department of Physics FMIPA USK aimed at strengthening academic culture, enhancing scholarly discussions, and fostering collaboration among researchers and physics education practitioners. The seminar is open to the public, free of charge, and participants will receive an e-certificate. The event is organized in collaboration with STEM.id and the Indonesian Physical Society (PSI).
